How is Google AI Mode different from Google AI Overviews?
Google AI Overviews appear as an inline summary box on a standard Google search page, alongside organic results. Google AI Mode is a separate, dedicated interface where the entire result is an AI-generated conversational answer with no traditional organic results. The Zenserp AI Overview endpoint (ai_overview=1) captures the inline box; this endpoint queries the dedicated AI Mode interface.

Which plans include the Google AI Mode API?
Google AI Mode is available on the Large, Premium and Enterprise plans. Requests from Free, Small and Medium plans return an error that explains the plan requirement.
How many credits does a Google AI Mode request use?
Each Google AI Mode request uses 7 credits. The response shows the exact amount in credits_charged, so you can track usage per request.
Can I track my brand in Google AI Mode answers?
Yes. Add brand=YourBrand to the request. The response then includes brand_visibility, which tells you whether the brand is cited and at which citation position.
